My client a niche Federal Government Department is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer for a contract through until June 30 2010 with the likelihood of extension.

The successful Business Intelligence Developer will be required to:

• Interpret customer requirements, including assessment of the implications of requirements.
• Liaise with customers
• Provide training to junior staff or others, as required.
• Data Analysis
• Report  Data Cube design
• Developing and testing of reports and cubes
• Writing procedures and other documentation
• Provide training⁄mentoring
• Report against work⁄projects
• Conform to work level standards and procedures

To be suitably qualified for this Business Intelligence Developer role you will have:

• Sound knowledge and experience with BI system
• Sound knowledge and experience in Data modelling for a warehouse BI
• Sound experience in Cognos 8, admin, report and cube design
• Use of Erwin data modelling tool
• Implementation of complex BI systems environment.
• Experience in analysing business queries with a view to designing data models, reports and data cubes to satisfy business requirements
