My client, an internationally focussed Federal Government Department is seeking a Sharepoint Developer for an initial contract through until June 30 2010 with likelihood of extension.

The successful Sharepoint Developer will be required to:

• Engage in analysis, development, support and documentation tasks relating to the delivery of SharePoint solutions to meet agreed time, cost and quality requirements.
• Provide systems support services to meet customer demand for the resolution of incidents, problems, service requests and business improvement initiatives
• Provide accurate delivery estimates for work to be performed.
• Comply with appropriate policy and guidelines specified within the Project Management, Systems Development, Solutions Architecture and Service Management frameworks.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, software solutions, better practice methodologies and opportunities for business improvement as required.
• Provide technical advice to other staff and participate in skills transfer as required.

To be suitably qualified for this Sharepoint Developer Role you will have:

• Demonstrated experience and ability to design, develop, document and implement SharePoint solutions within agreed time, cost and quality expectations.
• Judgement, flexibility, agility, responsiveness and demonstrated high performance in resolving production support and maintenance requests.
• Proven ability to manage, develop and support enterprise-wide SharePoint environments using Microsoft development tools and platforms. Including SharePoint Server configurations, WebParts, WorkFlow Foundation, CAML, STSADM, Visual Studio 2008, WSPBuilder and Team Foundation, Windows Server 2008, Active Directory Security, IIS, .Net, C#, XML⁄XSL and SQL Server.
