Our client, a scientific federal government agency, is seeking to contractually engage a senior testing professional to perform the role to Test Lead.

Within this position you will be required to setup and conduct testing in a complex open source environment. The IT environment is being constructed and will consist of a range of integrated systems and developed software.

Your day to day tasks will include:

• Develop and document testing processes and standards
• Working directly with programmers, analysts and project managers to plan and conduct testing
• Co-ordinate user testing
• Track and Review testing results

To be suitable for consideration you will require:

Mandatory skills

• A minimum of 3 years experience in software testing
• Proven experience in a Test Lead role with an ability to plan a test program in a multi-release environment
• Testing experience in custom developed software and solution integration environments
• proven experience in areas such as liaison with user groups, developing test strategies, plans, cases and defect reporting and management

Desired Skills

• Experience with Jira and⁄or Google Code
• Experience in the further selection and implementation of automated testing tools for web based applications and creation of automated tests
• Testing experience in a Agile and iterative development environments
